”Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else”
It’s easy to expect the world around you to change. It doesn’t hurt, it’s convenient for you and it’s so easy to blame someone else for failures. But there is only one that you can really change: You! You can inspire others to change, you can motivate, coach or force them. But the only real way to change starts with changing you.
Michael Jackson sang:
“If you wanna make the world a better place,
take a look at yourself and make that change.”
The most important ingredient in a good team are people that dare to change, dare to improve and who have high standards for themselves. Teammembers who constantly look for flaws with others and blame others for the lack of the success of the team is often themselves the core of the problem. Looking for the flaws in others are often the main barrier of Being Better.
You deserve to be the best You You Can Be and so does those around you.
Until I’ll see you again: Take a look at yourself!
